The 2022 Willie McCartney Trophy is now open for entries.

The entry deadline for this year’s event is Sunday 27th February. The National Finals shall be held at Irvine 8-Ball Pool Club, Irvine over the weekend of 28th and 29th May.

Entry fee for this event is £5 per player. Plus the £5 SPA Membership for those players not already subscribed.

Please note entries must be submitted and paid as per the details below.

Entries should be submitted to spa-im@hotmail.co.uk and cc’d to Yvonne_227@msn.com and payment sent to the SPA Events Account.

Note to Reps. Please remember to reference your deposit appropriately to enable the transaction to be attributed to each league easily.

The Area Rep must ensure funds are cleared in the SPA Accounts no later than 12 Noon on Sunday 27th February. List of names must also be submitted no later than this deadline.

ANY PLAYER WHO PAYS INDIVIDUALLY WILL NOT BE ADDED TO THE LIST OF ENTRIES AND THEIR MONIES WILL BE REFUNDED. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE THROUGH YOUR LOCAL AREA REP.


Entry Criteria
1. Any player who was previously ineligible is still ineligible.
2. Any player who have been asked to represent Scotland at A and/or B Level is ineligible.
3. Tournament winners are ineligible. This includes IM’s, Tours etc.
4. The Tournament Committee will also review the entries and remove any player they deem to be ineligible.

Any player who enters and is deemed ineligible will receive a full refund.
